🌀 The Art of Showing Up
Show up for yourself in the process of showing up for those around you. Otherwise, you’ll end up phoning it in instead of showing up.
Hi there!👋
This newsletter is in honor of each of our mothers, including mine. Without them, none of us would be here. 💁♀️
I am going to share with you the greatest gift my mother gave me. Why? It is the origin story of the Practice of Alignment. 🙌
Originally, I was going to write about gratitude and ask the question, “After all these years, what are you grateful for regarding your Mother or your upbringing? How can you share this gratitude with those around you now?”
I reflected on this myself. I realized that without my mother, I would not have deeply understood and witnessed intentional action, the core of alignment, first hand.
She showed up.
With her whole heart.
Each day.
Every day of her life.
In every way she knew how.
She showed up.
How do I share this gratitude with those around me now?
I show up.
With my whole heart.
Each day.
Every day of my life.
In every way I know how.
I show up.
Intentional action is what it’s all about. It’s the essence of showing up. That being said, if you aren’t showing up for yourself in the process of showing up for those around you, eventually you’ll find yourself unintentionally phoning it in more instead. We’ve all been there in one way or another because we’re all human. This is why practicing alignment is about intentional actions, not perfect ones.
So, what area of your life can benefit from you showing up with even more intention?
This week, how can you bring 10% more intention to your actions there?
Until next time,Rachel
